What do March showers bring?

Wednesday, March 30th, 2005

This morning the sun was shining bright and my little yellow crocuses were in full effect. The purple ones are just starting to poke their heads out. There’s no more snow on the lawn and I think there’s a good chance that Spring is here to stay.

The beginning of Spring always makes me think of the song “Poisoning Pigeons in the Park”. It’s a timeless classic.

Frankly, I’m amazed and horrified. Don’t be dumb like this girl,Laura K. Pahl

Listen to me. Cheating is never worth it. Why? I can think of a few reasons, but if you’re the type to disregard ethical arguments, focus on the fact that you have a very good chance of being caught. I know deep down that cheating is far more common than I want to believe, but I can’t help but be mystified that someone in college thinks that cheating is a good idea and is so dead set on not thinking that they’re willing to pay for it.

I imagine life is getting real un-fun real quickly for this girl.

I wrote lots of papers in college. It builds character and puts hair on your chest. Well, not so much with that last part.

They were right. The feeling IS forever.

I was home in GR for the past week, working during the day and hanging out with the parents at night. I ate good food, did a little shopping and saw 5 movies: Finding Neverland, Sideways, Miss Congeniality 2, Bride & Prejudice and Guess Who. Surprisingly, I actually enjoyed them all. I’m not going to come out and say that they were all great movies but they were indeed pleasant to watch.

Now I’m back in CT and I’m trying to get my stuff together, mentally and physically.

squirreled away with a pot of tea

This morning I took my meds a wee bit out of order so that I wouldn’t forget to take them all and I got a big stomachache from taking the antibiotic without food. Totally gross. I had some peanut butter toast and made some Jasmine #5 that I got from Adagio and now I’m feeling much better.

Me & the tea are hanging out in the home office while the house is being cleaned. Worth every penny, my friends. Once the cleaning people are gone, I’m off to the airport. Detroit today, Grand Rapids tomorrow night. Ahh, Northwest, we meet again.

I’ve had a box under the table part of my desk for about a week, hoping that the cleaning people would take it one fine evening. The box is full of packing peanuts. I was thinking about some code while staring at the packing peanuts and I got to wondering what it would feel like to stick my feet in there.

So I took off my high-heeled shoes and stuck my feet into the box. It’s way more comfy than my shoes. Now the box is under the desk part of my desk and my feet are happy.

It’s been a strange week. Continue on.

Eric, Craig and I went to The Lime for lunch to celebrate Eric’s birthday. The Lime is captain delicious.

In lieu of having more life info to share, I give you this.

There’s been a lot going on lately that I just don’t feel like talking about. Hence, the gap in updates.
Here’s the uninteresting stuff I’m willing to share: I need to do laundry and I need to buy some new pants. Hold on to your seat.
